3) A very good idea is to try eating a lot less fried foods and foods that are considered very high in carbohydrates. These types of foods will need to have your stomach work much harder to produce more acid than normal. Also, when you do eat, try eating much smaller meals, as opposed to eating very large meals. You won't feel as stuffed and your stomach won't have to be producing a lot of acid to aid in digestion.
4) Don't eat a lot of highly acidity foods. Foods with a lot of acidity levels include, tomatoes, citrus fruits etc. These foods and or fruit juices contain a lot of acid in them already. These foods can actually make the situation worse.
5) Make sure you drink a large glass of cold water to relieve your burning pain. The water will extinguish the burning pain and will dilute any stomach acid.
6) You can also try making a tea out of fennel seeds. All you really need to do is to pour some boiling water over a couple teaspoons of fennel seeds. When you drink this mixture, you will usually start feeling a lot better in a short period of time.
7) You should also make sure you don't wear a lot of tight clothing around your waist. Wearing tight clothes can exert a lot of pressure on your stomach and can push stomach acid and food contents back up into your esophagus.
